United Nations, New York, 24 October 2010 – UN Day is devoted to highlighting the aims and achievements of the United Nations. This year’s UN Day focuses on the eight UN Millennium Development Goals and follows on the High-level Plenary Meeting of the General Assembly on 20-22 September 2010, which adopted a global action plan to achieve the eight goals by their 2015 target date.
