This whole “non-aggression” justification for extreme Libertarianism is rather silly, because in effect they are saying that they do not owe society anything (i.e. taxes) and that everyone should be on their own (the poor, elderly, sick, disabled, etc.) What a load of BS.

You know what’s a load of BS? This post.

Part of living in civilized society is paying taxes. That is just a fact of life. Without taxes, and some form of government providing basic infrastructure and social services for the poor, one could not have a civilized society.

No. So many times, no.

Society =/= government
Civilization =/= government

I’ll give you credit for not mentioning law enforcement, but you waste it relying on even more laughable arguments: “who will build teh roadz!?” and “but what about the poor?”

If you really need this laid out in more detail, I refer you to this lovely post.

That is a facile and sophistic rationalization for selfishness relying on a fallacious and inconsequential distinction between society and government. But kudos for using a humorous tag, because I am not in any sense a fascist.

That reply reminded me a bit of this.

You know when I said that your worldview revolves around force (it’s through the link, for those just joining us)? Yeah, you’ve openly confirmed that.

So, in a most visceral sense, you are a fascist.

You are making no sense. In what way have I promoted force, other than a general support for the idea of paying taxes in return for government existing to provide basic infrastructure and social services to the poor? If that is enough to label someone a fascist, then just about everyone in civilized society would be a fascist, by such a silly definition. Yet another example of why conservative libertarian ideology is sophistic, facile, irrelevant, and juvenile,

Something my mother taught me long ago: “if you say something with but right afterwards, you didn’t mean it.”

Something Winston Churchill is believed to have said: “The fascists of the future will be called anti-fascists”

And something from Mark Twain: “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”

I didn’t even say “but,” so you are a liar. Bye. Also, Winston Churchill helped create the modern Welfare State.

Wow. I’ve never seen anyone so desperately in need of this: http://ift.tt/Jemdjy

Do yourself a favor.

And you are somehow better?
