You’ve taken quite a beating and deservedly so, but I’d like to know how you got in your thinking from “they think they don’t owe society anything” to “they think everyone should be on their own”?

Truth to the ignorant seems like lies. And this beating you mention comes as no surprise considering that my comments necessarily anger libertarians, especially conservative libertarians, since I am premising my philosophical worldview on the essential good for society of having a government that provides services for the people, which seems to be anathema to libertarians, or at least extremely conservative and/or anarchistic ones.
