The monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat is a monastery Benedictine located in Spain. It is located in the mountain of Montserrat, belonging to the region Catalan of Bages, Barcelona, at a height of 720 meters above sea level. Administratively it belongs to the municipality of Monistrol de Montserrat, although some of its adjoining land fall within the term of Collbató. It is a symbol for Catalonia and has become a point of pilgrimage for believers and a must for tourists.
