It has been difficult to get an open singing shot of this species which has a very beautiful song. It was late afternoon and I was in a forested ravine area with a flowing stream in a hard to access area of this location. This location pretty much requires a high clearance vehicle but is a great area to shoot as the trees on one side of this road have canopy at eye level. I was busy with warblers and heard two birds of this thrush species begin to sing from below as light was beginning to fade. The vegetation was just beginning to leaf out and I was able to get an open window to shoot this beautiful thrush.
