This was probably the clearest night sky I’ve ever slept under. We hiked into Desolation Wilderness under scattered clouds. A cold front came through right before nightfall clearing the sky and making for some incredible stargazing weather. Combined with a windless evening, I was able to capture this incredible reflection of the Milky Way in Lake Aloha.
I’m really liking the A6000 + Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 for remote starscapes like this. It makes for a very light kit that’s reasonable to carry on an overnight backpacking trip.
