Purple Martins flocking together in prep. for migration. This is around a half mile from the house but out in a field where I hadn’t seen them until today.
Also, I shot this with a new wide-angle lens I got yesterday (Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8) in prep for a trip to Rome, pretty happy with it so far, though wide-angle takes a really different approach than a telephoto.
