For Hitoshi Kobayashi (@twinleaves) from Tokyo, Japan, the sceneries that excite his photographic endeavors are not the urban landscape or the modern architecture found inside the city center, but rather the decades-old stores and houses which he discovers in suburban neighborhoods. “I’ve just been capturing whatever that catches my attention in the streets, but come to think of it, I think I’m naturally drawn to things that tell stories about people’s lives,” he says. “Timeworn buildings, overused dustpans and even small inventions like attaching a broken door with a string — these are the kinds of things that I find fascinating,” explains Hitoshi.
