After almost 17 years living in the San Francisco Bay Area there are still a million places for me to explore. Here’s one I visited for the first time yesterday evening. And what a beautiful evening it was – warm, great clouds and a gentle surf. Sure, the tide could have been a bit higher, but after having gotten soaked at Martin’s Beach on Friday night I was pretty content perching up on a rock and staying dry last night.

I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start. I’m taking a few days off at the end of the week and heading to Colorado for a long weekend with some high school friends. Should be super-fun, and this is the perfect time for a short week in the office — that place is wearing on me 🙂

Note: For some reason this photo isn’t displaying properly in Chrome (banding in the dark areas on the sides and the upper left corner, über-contrast overall, and oversaturation of the sand). Interestingly, it appears to display correctly in Firefox as well as on mobile. Very odd…I guess I need to revisit my color space settings because the sand in the foreground should definitely NOT look like a GoT-inspired river of blood — my apologies if it displays that way in your browser.

Update: I installed the latest Chrome update and the rendering problem seems to have disappeared. Most excellent!
