This place has quite a few frogs, (hundreds, if not thousands) they seem to be everywhere, especially the really small ones. It’s a marsh that hardly anyone frequents, and there are LOTS of life in it, especially Herons, they seems to love the crawdads and tadpoles that are so prevalent. (There are Yellow-crowned Night Heron, Little Blue Heron, Great Blue Heron, Little Green Heron, Cooper’s Hawk, Sharp-shinned Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk there now, not counting the numerous woodland birds and flycatchers) I have been there (out it it) 3 times already, tomorrow’s another trip there. This place is unbearably steamy in the 100F degree weather, but you really have no idea what you will see next. Trudging through the muck hoping that I don’t fall over, plus, watching for snakes keeps you alert. Hopefully I will find some Salamanders or Newts, maybe a Siren, I plan on looking tomorrow if things go right.
When I left at Noon yesterday there were 11 Herons there still, some had already left, so the food’s good. 🙂

These are about half grown American Bullfrogs…

The EXIF on this was lost when I opened it up in Photoshop, it’s been so long I forgot what steps I am supposed to do, so it was accidentally removed.
