Lampropeltis calligaster rhombomaculata from South Carolina. This is a fairly rare species to encounter in the area where it was found. While my passenger said it wasn’t particularly pretty, I begged to differ. While these snakes look superficially similar to corn snakes (Pantherophis guttatus), they are not very closely related.
