I stood there on Clayoquot Sound dazzled by the lightshow, clicking away and trying new compositions every 30 seconds or so as the color kept changing. I was on a floating dock that listed oddly to port, so it was difficult to keep the tripod level. As the kids and I watched the colors develop, we noticed huge Lions Mane Jellies (several) and Moon Jellies (hundreds) drifting into the Sound on the strong evening tide currents. Off behind me to the left, a group of young people lounged on a fixed dock, smoking pot, and generally over-appreciating the atmospheric action.
