This one was so pale I wondered if this was a White-legged damselfly (which would be a first for me), but looking more closely I think this is instead a very pale female Common Blue. A lovely visitor to find in the garden.

In other news… we have at least two hedgehogs now visiting the garden. I managed to get some very poor photos of one of them last night (I was loath to use the flash and risk frightening them off). If anyone has any suggestions on photographing them I’d love to know. 🙂
