A birder amongst fall foliage in The Ramble, Central Park, New York, 2015 by @simoncroberts (Simon Roberts) To use the words of Central Park designer Frederick Olmsted, The Ramble is a 36-acre “wild garden” created as a tranquil spot where visitors can stroll out of the city, discover forest gardens rich with plantings, and meander along the paths. Approximately 230 different species of birds can be found in Central Park, and it is one of the best birding spots in the United States, attracting birders from all over the world. Birds migrating, spring and fall, along the East Coast find Central Park a welcoming place to rest and stoke up energy for the next leg of their journey. #centralpark #urbanparks @centralpark_nyc by natgeo http://ift.tt/1SsVynp
