I had a long weekend at Sidmouth in the middle of January. It’s a delightful small Georgian seaside town which nestles between two huge red sandstone cliffs on the east Devon coast. This was taken early on a cold winter’s morning from Connaught Gardens at the western end of The Esplanade. Sea mist was beginning to form and a bank of mist had already settled on Salcombe Hill on the east side of the town.
