The “Lost 40”, in Chippewa National Forest, is an area that was inadvertently uncharted by surveyors in the late 1800s. As a result, it’s one of the oldest areas of forest in the Midwest, USA, containing trees nearly 400 years old. [OC] [3110×2073]
