David Bowie plays Berlin, June 1987
The Eurythmics, Genesis and David Bowie are all on the line-up for a three-day festival outside the Reichstag building in West Berlin.

East Berliners gather close to the Wall to try and hear the performances. Protests break out among the crowd, with people chanting things like “the Wall must go”.

Bei einem dreitägigen Open Air Konzert vor dem Reichstagsgebäude in West-Berlin treten die Eurythmics, Genesis und der Popstar David Bowie auf.

Viele Ost-Berliner protestieren, skandieren “Die Mauer muss weg” und versuchen, jenseits der Mauer zuzuhören.
