Lyrics
Watching them come and go
The Templars and the Saracens
They’re travelling the holy land
Opening telegrams
Torture comes and torture goes
Knights who’d give you anything
They bear the cross of Coeur de Leon
Salvation for the mirror blind
But if you pray
All your sins are hooked upon the sky
Pray and the heathen lie will disappear
Prayers they hide the saddest view
(Believing the strangest things, loving the alien)
And your prayers, they break the sky in two
(Believing the strangest things, loving the alien)
Thinking of a different time
Palestine a modern problem
Bounty and your wealth in land
Terror in a best laid plan
Watching them come and go
Tomorrows and the yesterdays
Christians and the unbelievers
Hanging by the cross and nail
But if you pray
All your sins are hooked upon the sky
Pray and the heathen lie will disappear
Prayers the hide the saddest view
(Believing the strangest things, loving the alien)
And your prayers will break the sky in two
(Believing the strangest things, loving the alien)

Today marks the 30th day of war in Ukraine.
Here are the latest developments:
🔴 Joe Biden visits Poland later today – home to more than two million Ukrainian refugees – after earlier warning that NATO would respond “in-kind” if Russia uses chemical weapons;
🔴 NATO’s chief has pledged to send more weapons to Ukraine to bolster the alliance’s response to the Russian invasion;
🔴 Russian forces fired two missiles late on Thursday at a Ukrainian military unit on the outskirts of Dnipro – destroying buildings and causing two fires;
🔴Ukraine’s navy claimed it sank a large Russian landing ship near the port city of Berdyansk that had been used to bring in armoured vehicles, while Russia said it had taken the eastern town of Izyum after fierce fighting;
🔴 President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged his country to keep up its military defence and not stop “even for a minute” in his nightly address;
🔴 Ukraine accuses Moscow of forcibly removing around 402,000 civilians from shattered Ukrainian cities to Russia to pressure Kyiv to give up;
🔴 The US is expanding efforts to help Ukrainian refugees – agreeing to accept up to 100,000 people escaping from the war and to increase support for Eastern European nations that have taken in most of the people fleeing Russian forces.

WATCH: Jackson tears up, as Sen. Booker says she’s earned her historic Supreme Court nomination
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson wiped away tears as Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., delivered a passionate speech on how she earned her spot to become the first Black woman nominated to the Supreme Court.
“You are worthy. You are a great American,” he told Jackson. In lieu of asking questions, Booker later told Jackson that “I know what it’s taken for you to sit in that seat.”
As the Senate Judiciary Committee continued its Supreme Court confirmation hearings March 23, Booker also railed against GOP senators pulling out specific cases from Jackson’s past and said it would not steal his joy.
The senator referenced abolitionist Harriet Tubman and Constance Baker Motley, the first Black woman to serve as a federal judge in 1966, as role models in his life and who paved the way for Jackson’s historic path.
“Today, you’re my star. You are my harbinger of hope,” Booker told Jackson.
Wednesday was senators’ final day to question Jackson, who was nominated by President Joe Biden in February to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer. If confirmed, she will be the first Black woman on the high court. On the final day of the hearings March 24, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hear from friends and colleagues of Jackson about her temperament and approach to the law.
