Il est acquis en 1838 par le milliardaire Williams Hope, fils de banquier, qui lui adjoint deux ailes et installe tout le confort moderne du XIXe s. Il est acheté au début des années 30 par la Pologne. Zbudowany w 1774 roku przez Aleksandra Brongniart, wówczas młodego architekta, na zyczenie Marie-Catherine księżnej Monako, Pałac został wybudowany “między dziedzińcem a ogrodem” w konwencjonalnym układzie. Zostal on nabyty w 1838 roku przez miliardera Williams Hope, syna bankiera, który postawil dwa skrzydła i zainstalowal wszystkie nowoczesne udogodnienia XIX wieku.
