• Lush Lupine on Cottonwood Pass – The lupines blooming near Taylor Reservoir during 2015 were quite a sight to behold. Lush carpets of grasses and flowers grow amongst old growth forests along Cottonwood Pass. This year’s flowers were unlike any I’ve seen in recent memory, due the nearly constant afternoon rain the mountains of Colorado have been receiving since May. If you’re in the Gunnison or Crested Butte area in the summer, be sure to stop by Cottonwood Pass for beautiful wildflower displays.
