One response to “Photograph by @paulnicklen taken while on assignment for @natgeo. After many weeks of waiting, this was the first Spirit Bear that I ever witnessed. They are also called Ghost Bears and after waiting for so long, it really seemed like a ghost during its brief appearance as it blended back into the Great Bear Rainforest. I sat in this same spot for an additional two weeks from dark to dark each day and only managed a few other glimpses. But, it was worth the wait. Through @sea_legacy, we are going to ensure that bears like the Spirit Bear will always have wild habitat to roam free.
