photo by @joelsartore | Gladys, a six-week-old western lowland gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo. In the wild, gorillas are critically #endangered, threatened mainly by commercial hunting, logging and disease. Because gorillas have a low reproduction rate, their populations are easily jeopardized, but funding generated by ecotourism have kept the population stable for now.
